Goal setting

Break a big goal into smaller ones to make daily progress.

  • They say that if you write down your goals, the odds go up that you’ll accomplish them. This tip can help you conquer a large goal by breaking it into daily or weekly tasks.

Start by making a list of the goals you have for a particular week. For a task that requires multiple days of work, break it down to daily tasks that keep the project progressing. Write these goals on Post-it® Flags and place them on your weekly calendar on the deadline dates or where they can easily be seen. When you complete a goal, remove the Post-it® Flag and move on to the next one. Start each week with a new set of goals.
